The Night of Science lights up wintery Helsinki
The Night of Science takes place on Thursday the 12th of January in Helsinki. As the evening grows darker, workshops, presentations and other events pop-up all-over town. This year there are over 40 events to choose from. Part of the evening’s program is in English.
What happens if a salmon eats the wrong type of food? Can viruses be dressed up to fool cancer cells? Will AI make us healthier? The events of the Night of Science introduce questions and offer discoveries. The program is produced as a collaboration of almost 80 science and research organizations.
Most of the events are in Kruununhaka and the Center area, but eager event-goers in Kallio, Viikki and Tapiola need not venture far out to participate either. Many of the events can also be viewed online.
