Aisti Metsän Taikaa

Metsätieteiden osaston tutkijat vievät sinut taianomaiselle vaellukselle virtuaalimetsään, jossa on jotain kaikille aisteille ja kaikenikäisille: lyhytelokuvia, tiede-taidetyöskentelyä ja kokeellisia tutkimuksia.

Aikataulu 

klo 17.00–17.25: Lyhytelokuvakimara “Puu, tiede ja hyvinvointi” 

Tarjolla leffapopcornit maustettuna raikkaalla kuusenkerkällä tai umamisella sienellä. Elokuvakimaran jälkeen on tilaisuus keskustella tutkijoiden kanssa ja halata puuta. Soveltuu kaikenikäisille. 

klo 17.00–18.00: Oletko miettinyt, miltä metsä näyttäisi, jos katsoisit sitä pölyttäjän silmin? 

Tiede-taidetyöskentelyn avulla luomme yhteisen, pölyttäjän silmin katsottavan, ultraviolettivalossa hehkuvan kukan. Soveltuu parhaiten nuoremmille osallistujille. 

klo 17.00–18.00: Tiesitkö, että ilman sienien ja puiden yhteistyötä metsiä ei olisi lainkaan näin pohjoisessa ilmastossa? 

Tässä osiossa tutustutaan sienirihmaston uskomattomaan elinvoimaan ja päästään tuoksuttelemaan ja koskemaan erilaisia syötäviä sieniä.

Sense the Magic of the Forest 

The Department of Forest Sciences takes you on a magical hike in a virtual forest with something for all senses and all ages: short films, science artwork, and experimental investigation. 

Program 

17.00–17.25: Short film festival "Wood, science, and well-being" 

We serve movie popcorn seasoned with fresh spruce sprouts or umamic mushrooms. After the films, there is an opportunity to discuss with researchers and hug a tree. Suitable for all ages. 

17.00–18.00: Have you ever wondered what the forest would look like if you looked at it through the eyes of a pollinator? 

Through science artwork, we create a common flower that can be seen through the eyes of a pollinator and glows in ultraviolet light. Best suited for younger participants. 

17.00–18.00: Did you know that without the cooperation of mushrooms and trees, forests would not exist at all in this northern climate? 

In this section, you will learn about the incredible vitality of fungal mycelium, and you will get to smell and touch different edible mushrooms. Suitable for all ages.
