CANCELLED: Who Cares? Exploring the Ethics and Politics of Care
Helsinki Collegium fellows and their guests address the concept of care in our contemporary society from the perspective of the humanities and social sciences. Should our societies become more caring – and if so, then how? Does caring for some mean excluding others? The program consists of an exploratory discussion, artistic performance, and an improvisation theater session.

17.00–18.00: What is care and is it always good to care?
Collegium researchers explore the concept of care drawing on diverse views in the humanities and social sciences.
18.15–19.00 The HCAS Salon: Towards Atmospheric Care
How to sense and make sense of air? Collegium fellow Xin Liu, artists Hanna Husberg and Agata Marzecova, and curator and researcher Taru Elfving explore care as a tool for reimagining atmospheric relations.
19.30–20.30: Improv theater session: Care in marriage and religion
Come and see what happens when improv comedy meets academia! Collegium fellows Louise Settle and Ryan Mullins give short talks about their research on the history of marriage therapy and the nature of God, followed by improvised sketches inspired by these talks.
