A targeted and personalized method for triggering the body’s immune response could transform how we treat cancer. While our immune system is very good at identifying viral infections, it often fails to spot and kill tumors. Vincenzo Cerullo, Professor of Biological Drug Development at the University of Helsinki, is researching how to get the body to perceive tumors as infections in order to trigger an immune response.
Café Balder opens at 6 pm. A free cup of coffee or tea is offered to those attending the event.
The event will not be streamed online.
